• What Are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.

• How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions last? 

When applied by a professional, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Keeping your extensions clean, not touching them and using oil free products on all products used on your face will extend the life of your lashes and your fills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.

• Are Lash Extensions safe? 

I only uses professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Synthetic eyelashes adhere about 1mm away from your skin.

• Can I apply mascara to Eyelash Extensions? 

Most mascaras will break down the glue for your extensions, so I recommend NOT wearing any.  Your extensions are an investment and you shouldn't need mascara. If you feel you need mascara please let me know so I can either use a thicker extension or use more extensions for a fuller volume look. 

• Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions? 

For best results I recommend not getting the extensions wet (including steam)for the first 24-48 hours of wear. After that 24-48-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough for you to go back to your normal routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas, hot yoga or certain facials is recommended since it can begin to loosen the bond.

• How soon can I wash my face after the extensions are applied? 

As long as you avoid getting your extensions wet for the first 24-48 hours you may wash your FACE (any area EXCEPT your lashes) immediately by using a wash cloth or makeup wipe remover.

• How do I dry my eyelash extensions? 

After cleansing your eyelashes, brush your extensions with a clean mascara wand and use a lint-free cloth to gently apply pressure to the top of your extensions while keeping your eyes closed.

• How do I take care of my new eyelash extensions? 

• Avoid getting lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours

• Avoid hot steam or sauna

• Use oil-free eye AND face makeup remover.  Baby shampoo is the best option for cleaning your lashes.

• Do not use lash curler.

• Brush with a clean mascara wand daily.

• Is the product FDA approved? Is it safe? 

Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free. Some clients consider the process relaxing and even sleep through the appointment.

• How long will it take to apply eyelash extensions and how is it done? 

A full set of Classic Lash extensions normally takes between 1.5 - 2 hours, and 45 - 60 minutes for a fill.  A Full Set of Volume Lashes normally takes about 2 - 2.5 hours and fills about 1 - 1/2hrs. I have a comfortable massage table with fuzzy blankets and pillows to keep you warm and cozy while you enjoy your lash nap.  Feel free to bring your ear buds to listen to your own music or audio book while I transform your lashes. 

• How do I choose the look I want? 

I will consult with you to understand what type of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The overall look of the lashes can range from very natural to very voluminous!

• Do I have to do anything to prepare for the service? 

If possible please arrive eye makeup free. I will cleans your lashes no matter what, but it will take less time for your service if you arrive with clean eyes.  Right before the appointment you may be asked to cleanse your lashes with a mild cleanser to remove any leftover oils. 

• What happens if I choose to have my eyelash extensions removed?

I do offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment. A gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching your skin and sits for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved I will gently wipe away all the extensions.
